Hajj And Umrah |
There are three different kinds of Hajj namely Tamattu, Ifraad and Qiran. In Tamattu, which is considered to be the holiest form of hajj, a hajji wears Ihram during the hajj month for umrah. This means on reaching makka, a haji makes Tawaf and Sa’yi for omrah and then chips or shave off his hair. During the 8th of Dhul Hijja or Tarwiya day he dons his Ihran for performing hajj.
In Ifrad an ihram is worn only to perform hajj whereas in Qiran hajji wears Ihram for hajj umrah. In this case first he dons Ihram for omrah and then for hajj. To perform hajj umrah or simply omrah the hajji first has to enter into the state of Ihram.
One should follow full rituals while wearing ihram for hajj umrah or simple umrah. The correct steps to be followed to wear ihram for hajj umrah can be downloaded from hajj committee website. One must already wear Ihram when they enter Mecca to complete hajj umrah or omrah. The hajji should recite Talibiyah while entering masjic al-haram for haj umrah or omrah by placing right foot first and reciting “Allah huma aftah li abwabe rahmate ka”.
When hajji first notice kabba the attention should be fixed at the Baitullah and hajji should recite Allahu Akbar and La Ilaha Illallah three times each. The next stage of umrah comprises of tawaf of kabba followed by the third step of omrah which is Sa’yee between the holy mountains Marwah and Safa. The hajji then completes umrah by shaving off or clipping his hair.
Follow these steps and complete hajj umrah and omrah.
